GENERAL GUIDELINES
BEHAVIOUR AND CLASSROOM CONDUCT
Students are expected to participate in a responsible and respectful manner. At this age level, students should be fully aware of what “appropriate behavior” is.
This course is a paperless course. Students will submit assignments using Google Classroom. As technology is an integral part of the assessment practices in this classroom students must demonstrate responsible use of their phones, iPads, and Chromebooks during class time.
Students should also familiarize themselves with the school’s code of conduct which is outlined in the student handbook and agenda.
TUTORING
If a student is overwhelmed or frustrated or just in need of some extra help, please talk to me before or after class. I am also available during Focus block by appointment. Parents wishing to contact me by email can reach me at [email protected]
ASSIGNMENTS AND HOMEWORK
Assignments will be given during each lesson. It is expected that the students will use class time to complete the assigned work. If the work is not finished in class, it is expected that the students will complete the work as homework.
ABSENCES
Students are responsible for completing any assignments that were given during their absence in a timely manner. They need to contact the teacher to find out what they missed during their absence. If a student knows they are going to be away in advance, they also need to contact the teacher to find out what they will miss. Students can access this website and Google Classroom to find out what work they have missed when absent.
